Omaha, Neb., FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE—Marcos A. Hernandez will serve as president of the Board of Directors for the Midlands Latino Community Development Corporation (MLCDC). MLCDC is a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI).
Hernandez looks forward to strengthening existing and expanding partnerships across private, public, nonprofit and government sectors to fulfill MLCDC’s current goals. He plans to develop a team of board and staff members to cohesively lead MLCDC and enhance its ability to sustain economic impact on the communities it serves.
Marcos Hernandez serves as vice president at USBank’s Corporate Social Responsibility group. As vice president, he places emphasis on building partnerships to meet community needs with lending, investment, service and philanthropy opportunities.
Hernandez is an Air Force veteran who served in the Electrical Intelligence field, last assigned as Senior Analyst and Project Lead at USSTRACOM Joint Intelligence Center. Hernandez’s wide-ranging experience also includes Residential and Commercial Real Estate Sales, Commercial Retail Development, Mortgage origination and processing, and has acquired FINRA securities and insurance product licenses.
In his new role as president of the Board of Directors, Hernandez will focus on MLCDC’s mission. His goals for MLCDC include: supporting the creation of new minority and women owned businesses, support development of childcare centers in low income communities and develop and provide the best business loan program
